Boxing Day marked the start of a new shuttle service that’s expected to make life a lot easier for passenger’s using the Half Moon Bay based Sealink services.
Sealink provides up to 14 sailings a day between Half Moon Bay and Waiheke Island and the decision to introduce the new trial connection service is expected to make Sealink travel much more appealing.
The trial will run until Waitangi Day, February 6.
The service runs between Kennedy Point and Oneroa Village and will be complimentary. It will operate on the same day as ferry travel.
The service will make it possible for passengers to get to Kennedy Point and Goldies Vineyards, Oneroa, for bus connections to other points on the island.
Those not needing to meet other connections are expected to soak up some village atmosphere with a latte or go shopping.
Full details on this service are outlined on the Sealink web site.
