Ambury park is a great place to take kids or just to escape the bustle of the city. It's a working farm and depending what time of year you go will depend a little on what you see but there are plenty of animals that kids can get up close to and pat. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and burn some energy and also makes a great spot for a picnic if the weather is fine.

I've grown up near Ambury Farm and have been there many times. It really feels like your somewhere else than Auckland. There are many walking tracks and the kids can check out the farm animals. A great day out!

We have been to Ambury farm many, many times! It is a great place to bring the kids as there are farm animals including sheep, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, rabbits and a turkey and there are free Barbeques. There is a Ambury Farm day every year with bouncy castles and more, but head there on the weekend or during the week with preschoolers and have a fun day out for free!

I went out on a sunny day with my mates when we had nothing to do. And I was pleasantly suprised. We recieved a very interesting tour of the farm where we saw a range of animals who I have to say were quite posh looking- with all their heads up in the air. Anyway the tour was really eye-opening and informative. We were all really interested on the behind the scenes dairy production of New Zealand. In other areas we were able to veiw animals bing fed and in some cases we were also able to play with the animals especially the dogs. It was a great pleasure to veiw an area which is a great memoir to New Zealand's  pristine environment. I definitley recommend Ambury Farm for any looking for some unexpected fun. I'm sure it will also appeal to adults and children who love animals. It was a great experience with my friends and is a shouldn't be missed activity.

An amazing free facility for Auckland families - it's basically a free petting zoo! Sheep, goats, turkeys, chickens, pigs, cows and sheepdogs make a great furry day out. Toilet facilities, BBQ areas, beautiful walks and cycle tracks around the water. We are so lucky to have free regional parks with the x-factor such as this in our city and we should make the most of it!

There was heaps going on here today (Anzac Day) - picnics, sports, bike riding and people visiting the farm. The bike trails are a mix of gravel and old paved road (and grass if you want to go off the track), so it's a decent ride if you do the full circuit and out to Puketutu Island. Treatment plant adds an interesting aroma but depending on the wind you might not smell anything.  Bird watching opportunities too apparently.

I have a friend whom works at the school here and she recommends the park as a great place to spend some time.

The kids love this place, an awesome spot to chill  x
