Within the Auckland Domain lies one of the city's most tranquil hidden gems - the Winter Gardens. I love holing up in the glasshouse on a blustery, gusty day and watching the rays of winter sunlight illuminate the exotic plant life within. When I was a kid, I used to pretend I was a lady keeping court while marveling at the outside lily pad. Whenever I have visitors from out of town, one of my favourite cool season activities is to come for a visit to these gardens.

Beautiful place to play, wander and explore

A nice day in the park

Famous park

Freedom..Beautiful trees.. Happy people..Our city.

Pack a picnic lunch and take it to the Auckland Domain. Sit among the daffodils and enjoy the romantic, spectacular view of Auckland Harbour from the Domain. It really is one of the best places to see the city from. Enjoy a stroll around the beautiful expansive grounds or bring your bike. There’s plenty of space for walking and cycling too. Bring it on spring!

This is one of my most favourite places in Auckland. I visit here to take photos with friends to outings with family for lunch and hanging around the park. Very beautiful and serene atmosphere. Beautiful fountains and flowers also can be seen in the winter garden.
