Head to Auckland Domain this Friday 18th for Egg Day Out, a free community-wide event for Easter. From 11 to 2, over a thousand Cadbury Easter eggs will be dropped by helicopter to be found, there'll be an egg-and-spoon race and lots of food stalls and activities. What's more, all the proceeds from the day will go towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

    Just round the corner, love it!

      Take a ball, frisbee, cricket set, fly a kite, ride a bike/scooter, go for a stroll through the gardens, climb the trees, feed the ducks, go for a coffee at that cafe, go to the museum... The possibilities are endless at the Auckland Domain!!!!! The kids always love going there...

        Wide open spaces

          There is nothing more romantic then strolling through a park with your loved one and having a picnic under the trees. The Auckland Domain has lots of little hidden spots to make things a little more special. Also a good destination to wander through on a clear night in the summer.

            The winter gardens have an ever-changing display of seasonal flowers. As a gardener it constantly inspires me.

              Here you can go off road or stay on the tarmac, and there are plenty of shady spots to cool off when the temperature rises. You can even take a small backpack with a picnic and make an afternoon/evening of it during the summer months - you definitely won’t be alone!

                A good place in the city if you want to go for a long walk with your family and for kids to play...like the ponds with birds and specially the winter garden alongwith the museum is just amazing if you want to spend a whole day doing different things in the area

                    Picnic, ball, dog, blanket, sunnies and maybe even a sneaky bottle of bubbles of a few ciders.
