I always find Auckland international airport to be nice and clean which is refreshing. The shuttle service is great for those horrible early flights and it is a really good option for travellers to use so I would recommend them. The food and shops, although a little on the pricey side with some of them are handy to use especially for flights at odd hours or picking up souviners :)

Auckland international Airport are great. They are always polite and friendly and after a long flight that is exactly the type of people you want to communicate and deal with. If you have a long time to wait for your flight there are lots of shops and things to look at to keep you occupied or food if you are hungry.

Auckland international has never let me down, they are always very easy to communicate with and very willing to help you out. The staff are very polite and there is always tons of things to look at and shop around for while you are waiting. They also have plenty of places to eat no matter what time your flight is. Great experience!

Auckland Airport only gets better each time we go out there. Have been out twice in the last few weeks, picking up and dropping off a friend. Although the non passengers side isnt really that exciting as they taken away a lot of the shops and different things on that side. They have also taken away the bar/restaurant that used to be up top near/next to the viewing platform which is were we used to always go before we or anyone else headed off on their travels. Now its gone and all they have up there is the timezone and the viewing platform On the passengers side however its improved so much, there are some great little shops and cafes and places to just relax and chill out. Can't wait for the next time its me thats the one getting on a plane to go away somewhere.

I love Auckland airport, usually because it means I am heading off somewhere warm on holiday but lately its been to take family to planes on their warm holiday ( I hate them!) or pick them up to hear all about their warm exotic holiday ( I hate them more). Either way Auckland has a wonderful up to date modern efficient airport. Its comfortable, small and easy to find what you need very quickly. Now they have removed a lot of the better duty free stores to beyond the barrier I think its a lot better. They still have plenty of shops but why bother shopping duty free before you go 'through'. You will get anything liquid taken off you anyway so leave it till through security is a much better idea. There a re plenty of feeding options before you go through. So people like me can have a meal or coffee or wine with you before you depart. Yes, I am proud of Auckland International Airport and I have been to a lot in days of travelling so thats pretty high praise. Well done Auckland.!!

Has all the latest modern facilities that a traveller or visitor could need, with trolleys plentiful and nearby, lockers to store baggage, plenty of clean public toilets, and lots of stores and cafes for quick meal or coffee before a flight. The waiting area for international and domestic arrivals is nicely laid out with comfortable seats, and the Duty Free shops are a must visit for travellers travelling to and from overseas. There are also lots of fast food chains here to fill up if you hate airplane food.

I've been to a number of airports around the world and the Auckland one has good service and is easy to make your way around. Also I like the fact that it's not HUGE compared to others. So you don't have to spend 15 walking from one date to another. They've got nice cafe but like all they're pretty over priced. The shopping isn't fantastic but it's always cheap enough to pick up a bottle or two of alcohol.

There's not much choice when it comes to airports in New Zealand. You get what you're given. But over the years, Auckland International Airport has really improved and it keeps improving. The arrivals area isn't the most inviting. Was here to say hello to a relative returning from a trip overseas. Hello.

When all else fails , the rain sets in , the campervan ..... is blocked , the night is falling in and you are lost some where out there in your campervan and then you see a Mac Donalds sign coming up in the distance .No matter what you said about Mac Donalds in the past , that familiar feeling of good service , warm enviroment , clean toilets ,freshly brewed coffee and familiar menu is like a light at the end of the tunnel . I often buy a snap and a coffee at MacDonalds Auckland International Airport before flying out to Australia to do campsite checks , also doing sites all over New Zealand . Sorry vegos but I do like the Big Angus Burger and MacDonalds Coffee . On our last roadie we stopped at : Dunedin George Street , Queenstown , Taupo and Tokoroa Mac Donalds . I suppose many kids have had the dream of living outside MacDonalds in campervan or Motorhome , camping as near as possible to MacDonalds or in a camping ground near by. " do a roadie ".
