This library is tucked away in the corner of Grey Lynn and it has the NICEST people working there. they run kids programs and have a large selection of toys for your young ones. They also offer all the usual services such as self check out and reservations. If you cant find something just ask and it can be quickly located for you. This was my local for a few years and never had a problem with them they are top class!!!

knew many years ago when I attended the library as a school boy. I attended a Lonely Meow Society bookfair in the Hall which over looks Western Springs last week , the quaint old hall is still very well kept . I recently attended a friends Tangi there in the same hall and voted there years ago . The tidy library feels very 1960's a place of learnig and stability in the city . Still clean and as tidy as I rememered it  and I believe a most respected building in the community still . I hope the community never let go of this wonderful rescourse , of reading and learnig .I hope they still have a copy of my favourite book I forgot to look for it . A true community asset for Grey Lynn and the greater Auckland NZ.

We were here yesterday, thinking about the late 1980s. Why? Well, that´s when Auckland City Council tried to close down this wonderful library. Unfortunately, they managed to close the best library in our opinion, Grafton, which is now the Galbraiths Alehouse. In here, we were so glad to see it so busy with kids, being read to or hogging the computers through to high-school students, busy cramming for their tests or canoodling in the audio book corner. Please keep supporting this top and vital public space.

Grey Lynn library is one of the smallest libraries in Auckland, just has a really atmosphere and a good selection of books. The staff make sure they have lots of visible stock that they think will appeal to their regular visitors and are always helpful. Great place to stock up for some summer reading.
