This is a great place to bring guests to the Bay of Islands (or even just yourself). You can rent out various bits of gear like kayaks and sailing dinghies to muck around with in the water. Their rates are pretty reasonable and they are literally on the beach's doorstep. Then after you can go get a revitalising drink or coffee at Alfrescos over the road.
