Beach Babylon

Beach Babylon has one of the most ideal locations of any cafe in Wellington. Situated opposite Oriental Bay beach, Beach Babylon have a menu for whatever time of day you choose to stop by, the food is always fantastic, and the staff are a treat. Oh, they also do delish vegan milkshakes, iced coffees, and smoothies using little island nice-creams. Need I say more?

One of my favourites. Great vibe, lots of space, and the best location in Wellington. Love the rostis and the vegetarian options for a weekend breakfast, and a great selection of beers for relaxing after work.

The perfect place to spend a sunny day in Wellington. After a walk and swim at Oriental Bay, start the day off with the vegeholic breakfast and a banana smoothie. I tend to linger in the cafe and have a game of 'Friends' trivia (the shelves are stocked with fun games and funky books). Then it's back to the beach to soak up some rays with a good book and a frisbee! 5pm arrives and it's back to Beach Babylon for a pimms cup, curly fries and coconut crumbed halloumi, or a jug of local craft beer. If my appetite allows it I stay for BYO wine and the vegetarian filo parcel. Beach Babylon has the best location in Wellington, delectable food and so many refreshing drinks to choose from. Friendly staff and hours of fun on the shelves. 10/10
