My work mate and I once again went to our most favourite sushi places located on Symonds Street. We have become very loyal customers to Bian Sushi & Donburi. We just love their wide selection of freshly made sushi's, which are all very reasonably priced. I particularly love the salmon, teriyaki chicken, California roll and the prawn roll sushi's.
Bian Sushi & Donburi on Symonds Street is constantly being voted in the top three in town when it comes to great sushi, and with good reason. Their offerings are always freshly prepared, affordable and just damn delicious, and the queues at lunchtime speak for themselves. They also create awesome party and catering platters that are always ready on time, and service comes with a smile.
Perfect for quick delicious takeaway sushi! The avocado sushi and the inori (pictured) are my favourites! Scrummy! They also do really good miso soup, which you can get in a takeaway cup. There is often a line out the door at this place at the peak of weekday lunchtimes, but you get through the line pretty quickly and the queue is there for a reason. As Auckland becomes more and more riddled with sushi joints, we have such a selection! And the people have spoken, in the form of lining up out the door for great, fresh, authentic and contemporary sushi!
Bian Sushi (pictured) blows my mind for choice, they even have heaps for vegetarians to indulge in. Everything is freshly made and just waiting to be taken away and gobbled. My favourites include the tamago nigiri(fried egg), avocado nigiri, round pea vegetarian roll, spicy salmon roll and the fried prawn roll. Also worth a mention is the addictive potato croquette and the ridiculously delicious onion sour cream dressing that goes alongside(optional). You can easily walk away with a satisfying meal for $10.
