Blackbird all started in the heart Heathcote Valley, Christchurch. A great spot down a pretty tree lined street beside a wonderful cafe. It was a very happy existence for 3 years until the 2010 Feb earthquake.

After a year or so Blackbird found a temporary nest in Sumner, Christchurch. A fantastic pop-up store but then the decision was made to migrate south to sunny Dunedin. A new nest has now been found up on Highgate and the journey continues.

From handmade NZ goods to up-cycled goodies and vintage items you will find a great mix of gift or home products.

Having relocated from Christchurch to Dunedin about a year ago, Blackbird Gifts has set up shop on Maori Hill. This kitschy cool gift shop is the best place to buy a gift for a mother who is slightly off the wall. The colourful and different objects will have you squealing with delight!
