This is the only place on the 20km Mount Maunganui-Papamoa beachfront which is adjacent to the beach and isn’t fenced in by a main road. The scene is relaxed and beachy, the views beautiful, but rest assured the meal and service will be more than a notch above.

Since Luigi took over this beachfront restaurant there’s been a significant improvement and it’s now quite impressive. The food is delicious with an emphasis on seafood and it’s in a fabulous location. Can’t beat this one in Papamoa.

New owner and seasoned restaurateur Luigi plans to revamp this Papamoa icon, with its stunning beachfront location and relaxed vibe, into a modern café, restaurant and function centre by spring, when it will be launched with a new name. Even now it’s the perfect location to sample the creamy seafood chowder loaded with fish, calamari, squid and muscles served with ciabatta or gluten free breads, “that everyone loves”, or the changing soup of the day – often an Italian minestrone. Treat yourself to some of their much-loved oysters first.

Great customer service and food. One of the busy restaurant . I like their menu and food quality . Restaurant very close to sea beach. After lunch I went for walk and it was simply superb.
