Good wines at good prices, excellent tapas menu and a real local vibe, Bonita is such a find. You've got to look hard to seek out this hidden gem, situated on a corner in Ponsonby Rd, but it's well worth the hunt. I love the fact that, even if friends aren't joining you, there's always someone at the bar to have a yarn with or you can perch up at the window and watch the hustle and bustle of Auckland's trendiest strip.

Love this place, casual fun, cozy, great snacks.

My lovely little local has the perfect setting for a pre-drink with a friend or romantic wine with your other half

A hidden gem along the far end of Ponsonby Road, Bonita's is a really cosy bar in which to enjoy really good wines at affordable prices, along with great music & live acts right there in the bar at the weekends!

Stumbled on this nice little tapas bar at random, majorly surprised at how great the lamb shanks and the eye fillet were, at $20 and $18. The small bread and dips also very nice, and generous portion for $5!

Ponsonby Local beverage

$6 for a rose that hit the spot - great tap beer selections as well.

Bonita is a cool little bar in Ponsonby which is a little different from many of the others. In fact to me it has a little bit of a Welljngton feel. That’s a good thing. Has a tapas menu, friendly staff and some good spots to get outside.
