Traditional British style pub with separate restaurant area. A good place to catch the rugby on the TV with a pint and also a good value place to bring the family for lunch on a Sunday. They have Fat Yak on tap - one of the few places I've found it in Auckland.

Really good British food with a Kiwi twist. Some of the best home-made style burgers I've ever had and excellent steak. This place has a lovely atmosphere and a good selection of beverages. One of my favourites.

Good selection of beers on tap and friendly staff!

Nice little restaurant in Rothesay Bay. Good parking and great relaxed atmosphere. It was a great place to meet the girls for dinner. There was a great selection of food on the menu and the presentation on the food looked fabulous! It did take a little while for the food to come out. The salad was gorgeous and the chips were well they were chips. The chicken burgar was unfortunately unimpressive.  There was no wow factor in it. It was a piece of chicken with a mushroom sauce slapped in between a couple of pieces of burgar bun. However the atmosphere more than made up for it. The girls and I sat and talked for hours. Everyone was able to pay for their own separate meal however there was a slight mix up when paying as they said that one of us hadn't paid for something but this was quickly resolved. The staff were friendly and lovely and quite understanding when our friend ordered something and asked for food items to be taken off her meal. Overall a great place to meet friends

This place serves some of the best food I’ve ever had. Even though it’s a pub beats most of the ’5 star’ restaurants I’ve been too. Absolutely love it. After our first visit we’ve been back 4 times and taken family and friends. Staff are friendly, good atmosphere and best of all is the delicious food. Been trying a number of things off the menu, steak, pork belly, duck and they’re all amazing! Highly recommend it.

Used to eat here a lot, only occasionally of late due to kids but is just as good as ever.  Great options on the menu, huge portions, well priced, tasty hearty meals.  Staff are always friendly and helpful.  Have never come away unhappy. Have occasionally had to wait a while for food but only when restaurant is completely full.  And was worth the wait.

This place has a good, generous portion sized menu. I have been here quite a few times and would easily come back, the service and food are always quite good and the atmosphere is always relaxed.

The British Isles Inn is a relaxed local pub in Rothesay Bay. There is a restaurant area, bar area and an under-cover smoking area attached to the bar. We visited on a week day evening and there were a couple of groups of locals in the bar and a bigger group in the restaurant. Everyone was relaxed and, being a Local bar, most people seemed to know each other. There was o be person serving, but we never had to wait. The menu is great value and is good quality pub food (steaks are good and there are veggie options). The British Isles is a good place to watch sport - even though there's no big screen, it doesn't really need one as the bar isn't huge. The British Isles, as the name suggests, is styled like a typical British pub (and is the closest I've found to that on the Shore). Decor is heavily focused on rugby memorabilia and wouldn't be out of place in any pub back in Blighty.

Just needs a good lunchtime Sunday roast!

Friendly staff and a pretty good menu, but I feel is probably missing an open roaring fire, and would also be great to see a Sunday lunch roast available! Overall a pretty good local though.

This little English pub tucked away in Rothesay Bay is great. With good old English fare and service it is definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere is great (will be back to visit on game night!) with friendly hospitable service, great value with yummy tasting food. Even though it wasn't my local or in my neighbourhood it was great and I'm looking forward to returning!
