We normally don't visit the Ellerslie Burger Fuel, but did last night on the way out. There was a 15 minute wait on takeaways - I'm not sure if this is standard for a Friday night but they were apologetic. The lady who served me was very professional and encouraged me towards specials and combos to keep the price down. The chocolate malt soy shake was delicious! My partner also said it was the best Burger Fuel burger he'd had before.
Burger Fuel have honed their business model since they began in the late 90s, and provide great burgers, fantastic fries and a decent range of drinks. But then, you probably know this already. Pro tip(s): a.) Don't bother using the menu on the website. Burger Fuel have weekly specials and these are invariably NOT listed on the website menu. If you're wanting a change it pays to just turn up and see what's on offer. (Every now and then they have something pretty spectacular, like the crocodile burger they had a few years ago.) b.) If you're an iPhone/Android user, make sure you check in with Foursquare. There are often really good check-in specials, like 2-for-one deals, free things etc.
