Only a short drive from the centre of Christchurch, Corsair Bay is a great place for a family day at the beach. A perfect place for families with young children, with a calm and safe swimming beach and a nearby playground.

It's also a great place for a picnic, with grassy, shaded spots near the water to enjoy fish & chips in the summer, and it's proximity to the city means that you don't have to waste precious beach time in the car.

Nice little beach, shelter from the eastily wind. Safe shallows and a raft to swim to.

    Just around the corner from Lyttelton and a short drive from the centre of Christchurch, Corsair Bay is very popular with young families and holiday goers. Great for swimming, walking around and playing in the playground, Corsair Bay is a fantastic for a short summer holiday excursion.
