Their curry ramen is a must try! Good prices for a giant bowl of food and hidden away from the bustling nature of brittomart, its definitely a good place to go for lunch!

What's not to love about Daikoku, not only is the food yummy but it is cooked right in front of you in a really entertaining and theatrical way. The chefs are more than cooking, they are performing. I have been here a few times and it keeps getting better and better! #shoutme

Great food, very entertaining

Always so friendly, delicious ramen and sides! #darkhorse

Great, cheap and delicious. We come with the kids who share a bowl between them. I'm not a pork fan but, broth wise, it's hard to go past the Tonkotsu. I just give my pork to pig loving husband and daughter. This is one of our three go to dinner spots. Always a winner

If you're in the Britomart area and are looking for something to warm you up to the very core you can't go past Daikoku Ramen. It would be easy to go past this small poky Japanese establishment but it would be a foolish mistake. When I go there I tend to choose the ramen soup combo that comes served with a side of gyoza dumplngs and of course a Japanese beer. The soup, chicken based with home made egg noodles is served with bamboo and generous hunks of pork, is delicious and the dumplings are always tasty and fresh.

Their broth taste really good and the noodles are springy. Very budget friendly aswell

This cafe is straight out of a blade runner set. Well worth a visit. Cheap Ramen and Currys.

LOVED this place. Haven't been for years tho. So glad it's still going strong, will definitely go back soon!

Still going strong and prices have only risen a little over the years. Curry and rice for $ 9.50 is a great feed

Really?! $9:50 is a total bargain. I pay more than that at my local takeout!

the staff are always friendly and the food is really authentic nice little place which gets busy during lunch hour as its very popular with the locals would def recommend giving it a try yum yum

Tucked away in a side street just off Britomart, the place is often buzzing with office workers around lunchtime, and the Japanese staff always shout a friendly welcome when you walk in - it almost feels like you could be in Tokyo yourself. The menu is extensive and it's not hard to get a huge meal for under $10, but you can't go past the classic tonkotsu ramen. Pork, veges and a generous helping of noodles in a delicious pork bone broth, I can never resist draining the bowl at the end. The service is super fast so you could easily be in and out in 30 mins, a great option if you're short on time.
