Lovely place to go for ramen, traditional japanese seating really makes the atmosphere of the place. The bowls are very big and the price is also quite good

Awesome ramen recommendation Annie.

Daikoku’s proximity to the supermarket makes it a tempting detour on those nights that I just can’t be bothered to cook. The menu has a variety of dishes - donburi, sashimi, teriyaki steak etc - but it’s the ramen I come for. Tuck into the miso ramen and your life will instantly feel better.

Do you like ramen? Silly question really, how can you not?! Daikoku have the best ramen in town and the prices are really good so great if you are on a tight budget. This is a great place to bring a group of friends and grab a few smaller meals to share.

My first time in this branch of Daikoku, and my first time not eating teppanyaki at their place. We were a group of 9 ordering at the same time, so I was very impressed with the speed at which they managed to serve all 9 mains at the same time. I ordered the lunchbox special ($13.80) which included teriyaki chicken, pieces of pork cutlet and a tofu salad. As with most of the lunch sets, you also get miso soup, rice and a sampling of their noodle salad. The salad was lovely a fresh, and probably my favourite as the pork and chicken didn't differ much from other Japanese restaurants. The presentation was as always, lovely and charming. Sorry, I would've taken a photo of my bento box, but I couldn't wait to dig in :)

Again i opted for a healthier lunch and ordered the tofu steak set from the lunch menu. It came with salad, tofu and vegetables, rice and miso soup. I did not expect that much for $12. It wasnt mindblowing but it was still satisfactory.

It was my birthday and I was invited to Daikoku - the food was really yummy. The portion is big :P. The green tea ice-cream is fantastic!

Try the slightly unappetising looking curry, it’s beyond delicious. Basic but tasty and cheap!

Went her for lunch with some friends. Great food and entertainment!! The prices were really good too. great place to go if you want something a bit more than just food as you get the entertainment of seeing your food getting prepared.
