The pasta, oh the amazing pastas, the beautiful wines and tiramisu to top it off. Love this place! #shoutme

I love a food risotto on a cold day/night, and spend most of the winter trying all I can in the search for the best out there. My latest discovery was on the specials board at Grey Lynn restaurant Delicious, and came with chicken, broad beans and a rich provolone. It was pretty damn perfect and as it was available in entree or main size could be easily snaffled for lunch. Yum.

As well as being a great place to sit back and enjoy some seriously good pasta and risotto dishes, Grey Lynn favourite Delicious has a cabinet filled with sweet treats to go that are exactly that. We love their tiramisu and cheesecake options, both of which have been picked up, taken home and enjoyed on many a winter’s night.

I love this place, though as you can't book it's hard to get into on a busy night. Every time it I go it's packed. Pasta is amazing but don't forget to leave room for dessert.

Never disappointed!  Takeaways or eating in.  Food is always so tasty, fresh, light.  Well priced. My favourite in this category and you can take the kids if you want or have a lovely glass of wine at the bar with friends.

Lamb papadelle is a favourite! always great food. shame that you cant make a reservation and the bar gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but worth the effort of waiting!

Mains were pretty good, although the Bruschetta, two small pieces, at $12, was over priced.

Most of the time I go to Delicious, there's not an empty seat to spare. I guess that goes to show how popular they are and how their name is no hype. Wish they had more seats!

Sometimes the ravioli is a tad bland but I shouldn’t complain because everything else is always perfect. I agree that that bruschetta is a must. And if you’re too full to have pudding, take some home instead. The chocolate mousse cake is awesome. If their bar is full I heard that you can pop across the road to The Gypsy Tea Room and they’ll call you back over when a table is free.

Given the number of restaurants serving pasta in Auckland (Italian or otherwise), I wasn't sure how different this place would be when it was recommended to me as the best pasta place in town, but after my first visit I was convinced - and it's never disappointed in my many return visits. They use really fresh ingredients and serve generous portions, so even though it's not going to be as cheap as getting that reheatable stuff from the supermarket, you'll come out feeling like it was totally worth it. Tip: Definitely order the bruschetta before your mains, it'll put all other bruschetta you've ever had to shame.

Popped along to Delicious last night with a friend. As ever, the service was friendly and unintrusive and the food was great (although when my pasta arrived, it made me think that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a few minutes as it had developed a funny crust.) No matter - the atmosphere was cosy and convivial and it's a good place for an end of week catch up. A job well done, good old Delicious. You're still one of my faves.
