We purchased a designer door for our inner city house which has provided security for the family when opening the wooden front door to strangers. The security door is a user friendly barrier to keep children and dogs inside while having a conversation at the front door. It provides an excellent visual view from the kitchen of garden and street when closed and the wooden front door is open. Easier than getting fresh air by porch sitting!
Four things I love about Dora: 1. In summer the prevailing cool breeze comes through the front door. We've never been able to have it open, first because of toddlers and then because of our dogs who were partial to escaping out the door! Now we can have the door open all summer , get the breeze, and have the house and pets secure at the same time. 2. The doors look beautiful, the Pacifica style I chose suits our home in Ponsonby. 3. When visitors come to the door THEY feel safe out of reach of our boistrous dogs who we can control before they enter. 4 Door-to-door sellers/strangers - we can have conversations with the person through the door, and not be obstructed by intricate designs or mesh to see them clearly. That makes us feel safe too.
Its about time that there is a contempory alternative to the grandma mesh doors that currently exist! The doors are robust and don't look like security doors, more like custom made iron detail. Michelle and Tim are friendly, all smiles and can't do enough for you, highly recommend their product and the service.
