Went here for dinner with family and was very impressed with the level of service, especially our waitress Tasman! The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing. Would definitely recommend to others looking for exceptional cuisine.

Neat :)

i am organising our christmas party here i am so inlove! This place is amazing, the interior, the food, THE COCKTIALS and the service! it is all a bit to much to take in, its great i would highly reccommend this place for either lunch or dinner. You can even do a set menu for 10+ people and you all share the platter

Great :)

Lovely food - the platters are incredible, my pork buns (not the usual kind) were gorgeous and the tempura to die for. Just don't expect to rush. If you like to take your time and not be hurried through, this is the place.

Great :)

This place doesn't take bookings so we arrived at 7.00 pm sharp and were seated pretty quickly. It filled up pretty soon after that. We were offered edamame and water immediately but it took a really long time for our full order to be taken - even the drinks order. Once the orders were taken however, the food came out quite quickly and it was truly delicious. The menu offers a good range without being overwhelming and the shared platter was pretty incredible. I'd recommend this place.

We had a great meal, resonably priced considering the quality. Lovely atmosphere (bustling)

Lovely :)

This is my 3rd attempt going to Ebisu for dinner. Finally got a table this time! It's just that popular since the opening! The experience match the good reputation.

Great :)

Lovely authentic Japanese food izakaya style with a twist. Great service but perhaps a little too rushed. Would come back.

Nice :)

I went to Ebisu for the first time today for lunch and was really impressed. The service, which is something I'm really pedantic about was magnificent and the waiter's food and wine recommendations we're also spot on. They were also able to cater for quite complicated food allergies. It's great to see a restaurant so willing to help in this regard. I have a suspicion (though I'm not sure) that they share a kitchen with Tyler St Garage, because the pork buns look to me to be identical.  If you're partial to a casual whiskey as you wind down your afternoon, the staff again really know their stuff.  All this in the surprisingly quiet, high-ceilinged Quay St location. Lovely.

I think Ebisu is good too. Great atmosphere when busy, and some of the staff are great. However I think Cocoro in Brown Street Ponsonby has the march food-wise.
