Eiffel do a really good coffee. Every time I've been it's been a good coffee - flat white or long black. They get the milk perfect, even using soy milk which I find hard to do at home. The pastries are good and the food, though it's quite on the meat side of things, being French and all. Not much selection for vegetarians. It was Bastille Day on this visit but you wouldn't have known it. They don't go overboard with Frenching things up. Kind of a shame. Maybe even some french pop music would be nice. Would add to the atmosphere anyhow, it's a bit bland.
In an odd location, overlooking the quarry at Three Kings, Eiffel en Eden offers some rather spectacular French pastries, cheeses, breads as well a coffee and a full menu. I've been impressed with most things I've bought from there, but a few times have felt underwhelmed by the baguettes - I don't know why, but they seem to be a bit inconsistent, or perhaps I've bought them when they're not ultra fresh. Apart from that I'd not hesitate to recommend visiting. I can never leave without buying way too many patisserie goodies, and I bet you won't be able to either!
Best place in the area for bread and they do great pies though pricey, but different, they’re very continental and the pastry, like a short crust, appears freshly made from scratch and fantastic . Worth the money. Coffee has always been excellent and there’s a good deli selection to pick up things for dinner or antipasti while you’re there. The room itself is spacious, airy and light and a good place to meet for lunch or coffee and plenty of room for my two children’s monster of an offroad dad stroller. Good place all in all. Well done.
