Elements was the first cafe I went to in Wellington when I got back from travelling overseas. I was practically (ok I WAS) drooling just thinking about the eggs benny the morning of my return. Nothing beats fresh loaves topped with crispy bacon (or ham), perfectly cooked eggs, all drizzled in hollandaise sauce.
One of Wellington’s finest cafes, I reckon. This was one of our top three haunts for brunch pre-baby and they still welcome us back with open arms even though our needs are different now. Good baby changing facilities (I can’t lie, I’m low maintenance on this front now, as long as there is a table so I don’t have to change the baby on the floor, I’m happy!), staff who are happy to move furniture for the buggy and help you down the small amount of steps. The first time I needed to change my baby we couldn’t find the change table so I emailed them. They get huge kudos in my book that they responded and apologised that I didn’t find the loo with the table and that they would remind their staff to point it out to guests with bubbas. Best pate in Wellington.
