Run by a passionate group of locals, the Environment Centre in Hawkes Bay truly encourages sustainable living. Certainly not limited to their shop, the Environment Centre puts movements into place such as worm farms in schools and coastal waste tours. They also run a variety of workshops on sustainable topics.

This centre is looking out for the environment and more specifically sustaining the beauty of Hawkes Bay. Everyone should visit to share the passion with the staff and learn more about what you can do.

There’s everything you need to know about a sustainable lifestyle at the centre. They sell worms and worm farms and boast an environmentally-friendly demonstration urban backyard with chooks, bees, native plants, veges, fruit trees and composting systems. The shop have a library of information and regularly hold workshops. A good place to start before embracing a natural lifestyle.

    If you want to know anything about growing, the environment, energy, or sustainability go to the Environment Centre in Hastings. They hold scheduled food waste, composting workshops, green drinks and will recycle your e-waste and sell a range of organic products.
