Located in a small Horowhenua District settlement of the same name, Foxton Beach is a long sandy white beach with sand dunes and an estuary.
Often busy with locals and visitors enjoying a range of activities including swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, surfing and sun bathing, the beach is patrolled by the Foxton Surf Life Saving Club in the summer months.
With many holiday homes, motels and a holiday park nearby, house prices in the Foxton area have increased drastically over the last few years with residents willing to commute so that they can enjoy a beachside lifestyle.
