I’ve been to garrisons a number of times and the food and service is usually good but this time the salt and pepper squid arrived semi warm and the man behind the bar was not very friendly. For over a $40 bill plus two drinks I expected better to be honest. Hopefully next time it won’t be like this.
I used to live very close to Sylvia Park, so this place was ‘my local’. I’ve pretty much tried everything on the menu, and I LOVE the layout and ‘vibe’ of the pub. It’s so much better than other local bars!! All the food is amazing but I particularly recommend the garlic cheesy pizza bread, the salt n pepper squid, and any of the burgers! Plus their pizzas are pretty tasty. If you are a regular (or can see yourself becoming one) you should ask them for a loyalty card, or apply on their website – the points add up very quickly. Best pub ever :-)
Really awesome place! The size of the venue itself is quite huge, with plenty of seating for both indoor and outdoor. This place is ideal for watching sports, as they have a huge projector screen and many large tvs set up all around. The meals are pretty good, maybe slightly on the pricey side for pub food but really good all the same. They also have a loyalty points program, which you can sign up for via their website. The staff are really helpful and the service is pretty good. I would suggest however, if you're planning to come here to watch a major sports game, such as the Warriors or All Blacks, I would defiantly call to make a booking. Good times!
Love coming here! The food is some of the best pub food ive ever had and such a selection! They are always playing major sports events here, they have many may tvs set up around the place and also a massive projector screen. The staff are always helpful and friendly and there is a large seating area outside as well. Make sure you book a table if you plan to come here when a major sports game is on, as tables do go really fast!
me and my partner went there today. they have very friendly service and their meals are great for the price we paid. the staff were on to it and didnt keep us waiting. they were friendly and prompt. the music was suitable for the time of the day we went. there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. we had outdoor seating which was great for a sunny day. i would go back here!
