Get your exercise on at Gillespies Beach, a 21km remote beach on the West Coast. This spectacular black-sand beach is a wonderful spot for picnics, long walks or just meandering the coast.

Gillespies Beach has some pretty great views of the Southern Alps. There’s a historic cemetery to explore and whole load of coastal walks. The old gold mining settlement and seal colony are also great attractions. There’s a lot to love about this beach!
