We go to Handi every fortnight as they have $10 mains mon-wed and it’s byo wine… This makes an affordable night out. Service is good and sometimes if the staff remember you get free poppadoms once you are seated. Sometimes you have to order extra rice as they don’t give you enough. However this is a great place for the price, quality and YUMMY food and the naan bread is delicious… i will continue going there every fortnight:) thanks Handi

I would not classify this place as thrifty, as to get enough food for a meal for 2 you need to spend around $50. In saying that though, the money is worth the food. They prepare everything very fresh (so if you want your order in a hurry...plan ahead), the its all piping hot by the time you get it home. Their garlic naan is some of the best we have eaten in NZ! Would recommend their lamb rogan josh, and any of their chicken curries as a must try as well.

i had fun coming to this nice little restaurant the other day, was very authentic and had great service. the food came out quick as they dont seem to be busy busy very often but the food is beautiful, so many lovely flavours and dishes you can choose!

I've been to this Indian restaurant once or twice and found it quite enjoyable. it is tucked out of the way of the main road so you don't see any parking or cars driving by but just a nice little view of down the ranges. the service is good while the food is once again magnificent. I would recommend this spot for anyone.

this is an amazing little indian cuisine in the middle of titirangi, but you wouldnt even know as its tucked right away from the world, great little view off the deck while you will be enjoying a wide range of meals, the waiters are authentic and very nice. The food is to die for, an absolutely lovely experience with the family, you wont be dissapointed.

good, cheap food. large variety of dishes and very friendly staff

We turned up here without booking and received a lovely meal. effecient service and friendly atmosphere

Went for dinner there last week. No booking just walked on in, they always seem to have a table. The staff were really friendly. They served us quickly and we got a free wine/beer with our meal! The food is amazing and only around $13 for a main. Well worth a visit and not as busy as the other Indian place in Titirangi village.

We decided to try a different eatery on Friday and ended up pulling into the tiny little courtyard outside of Handi.  There is only enough parking for 4 cars and the front of the restaurant looks tiny but it's very deceptive. Once inside you can see that the restaurant actually goes back and over the side of the hill and has a beautiful view of the north shore which is on show to the majority of tables at the rear.  The awning over the windows appeared to be removable too which would be great in summer. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and 5 drinks for just $80.  The service was great as was the food.  I chose the aloo tikki to start, spiced potato cakes with a chickpea curry.  Tim had onion bahjis  and we both went with lamb curries for mains with paratha and roti.  Yum!
