Hastings City Night Market

A place to come for a great Thursday night out and to listen to local musicians. Thursdays from 5-9pm, there’s loads of fresh produce but it’s really a food market, where creative locals produce the food, often taking their artisan goods on to bigger things. All done with style. Coming up on February 18 is Art Deco night market, running with the big party-hard Art Deco Weekend extravaganza so expect some glamour and swing. And on March 3 is Horse of the Year Night Market.

It’s back on for summer from 5-9pm every Thursday and looking just as good as ever, everything from a wide variety of tasty street food, crafts, local talent and art.

It’s just about time for the summer night markets in the mall to start up again alongside daylight saving on October 1. It’s a multi-cultural tasting feast. Come along and get a taste of local – street food, crafts, entertainment and community.

The Thursday night market held right after work in the heart of Hastings is successfully bringing the people back into a more unified city. Grab the whanau and enjoy some ethnically eclectic street food – think paua won tons – beautiful arts and hand crafts, fresh grower produce and some very talented local entertainers.
