About

Hawke's Bay Club was established in 1863. The original building was mainly demolished, however the billiards room remains as it was in 1888 and the new club rooms date back to 1906. The Edwardian building is in a lovely location on Marine Parade and facilities include conference rooms, dining rooms, a snooker room, bar and a wine cellar. There are also a range of self-catering rooms to let.
Talented chef Andrew Poppelwell can cater for groups of all sizes and there are a number of popular events to enjoy including themed dinners.

Old world grandeur and one of the last remaining Edwardian-era buildings left standing after the 1931 Hawke’s Bay Earthquake. Not only is she pretty good to look at, but the food is superb too. The only downside is you will need to befriend a member, or create a function to dine on Design Cuisine and chef Andrew Poppelwell’s famous fare.
