Always eat here when visiting friends and family in Wellington. Love their delicious Japanese food. #karenmurrell

Great Japanese style food in an upstairs environment which provides some intimacy for conversation. Low cost and fairly quick serve.

Hidden away on lower Cuba St, Hede is a great choice for Japanese food, with an extensive selection of set menus and noodle dishes. The menus printed on wood are a nice touch, and there is a fish tank. On the weekends, it can be noisy and cramped, with lengthy wait times for food, so be sure to book.

One of the best BYO spots in town. Highly recommended if you're wanting delicious, plentiful food at very reasonable prices as part of a large, potentially boisterous group. Do be warned, however, that the food here is so good that you may find yourself, as I have, coming here as a couple late on a Friday night, and not being able to hear yourself think. The juice was definitely worth the squeeze, however, such is the quality of the food here.

great value, BYO and always fresh and hot food.

Hede is a great BYO location, found at the quiet end of Cuba St, yet well within reach of the rest of town if you are heading out after dinner. The premises cater well to large groups of people, so you can cart all your friends along – just make sure you book in advance. The food is inexpensive, good value for money, and you never have to wait long for it. It's all wood and warmth. A great and comfortable way to start (or spend) the night!

Great upstairs restaurant with tasty food. BYO is fine, so you can bring some wine and chillax with some sushi!

Tasty quick food.

Hede Cafe & Bar is the place to bring crowds of people. The rowdy Japanese restaurant and great priced meals makes the perfect setting for a fun night out, and the staff is well used to looking after big groups.

Best fun in a long time.
