They aren't your typical white sand and blue water beaches but I love how they're a bit more secluded. Plus, they've got Pohutakawa trees and tyre swings which is a little taste of NZ. Bliss.

Such nice swimming, the most amazing sunsets.

Some of the best swims in Auckland.

If you’re in the city fringe and looking for the perfect spot to watch the sunset I would recommend heading down to Cremorne Bay. At the bottom of a step set of stairs you’ll find a small sandstone ledge with foot holes. Navigate your way to one of the plateaus and grab a seat. From here you’ll have one of the best views in the city. Romance? Guaranteed.

This summer Cremorne beach has been my favourite swim spot in Auckland. Located at the bottom of a staircase you will find a small sheltered sandy bay and inviting, calm water. For the adventurous you can climb around the rugged clay walls to a makeshift rope swing. If you’re a romantic take note, it is an incredible beach to watch the sunset from. P.S It’s best to go at high tide!
