Jimmy Jack's Rib Shack have ribs to die for! The tender ribs have a sticky but not overly sweet flavour to them and come in a very generous portion.
They also have a great range of sides like chips, onion rings and calamari. For dessert they have a delicious apple pie - if you can it in.

Jimmy Jack's Rib Shack - even the name is fun to say! This is a place where you'll absolutely want to come with a totally empty tummy. Your puku will be busting to the brim by the time you leave. That's only testament to the finger-lickin' tastiness each plate delivers. I ordered a rib plate to share with a friend which came with coleslaw and fries. The ribs were tender and meaty with a great sauce to slather all over them. I also highly recommend their flat white cocktail and apple pie. So much food it's ridiculous but you feel compelled to eat it all!
Quality time (with zero dishes) is the best a dad can ask for, so for a slurpy, sticky, finger-lickin’ evening, chow down at the laidback and casual Jimmy Jack’s in Paihia. This place is a favourite with locals for good reason - the meals are hearty and generous, steak perfectly cooked, ribs fall off the bone and the staff are fun and helpful.
