If you are looking for European style food then Krauts is a good place to start. They serve German style dishes using locally sourced, organic and free range ingredients. The restaurant is warm and inviting place and modern and the food is excellent quality - lots of delicious German style dishes including Weiner Schnitzel, Bratwurst and some yummy cheeses.

    Hearty and delicious - this could be the best German food in New Zealand I was pretty hungry so ordered the Meat Platter, which was generous in proportions and very tasty. Service was prompt and very friendly and they’ve done a good job of the ambiance here.

      Very nice and tasty food with a German touch. Hosts are very friendly and caring. They have their own German style beer as well and it is very good! Prices are still very reasonable. Highly recommended. #shoutme

        Favorite food is bangers & mash - this is ihe ONLY place around I can eat it! Award-winning waitress - best in Nelson Brilliant up-market decor, prompt service, can I say more?
