La Mexica

This place is oozing atmosphere and has the tastiest Mexican in town. Also make sure you grab a margarita!

Amazing :)

The fit-out of this restaurant was cosy and inviting, especially because with the storm lashing at the window panes. I felt like I'd stepped out of New Zealand winter and into Mexico! Situated right on the harbour, on a fine day, it would be a good place for a weekend lunch. And the kitchen did a great take on a chimichanga by serving it up as a clever little starter or snack. The classic Margarita was also pitch-perfect. Would definitely visit again.

The vibrant atmosphere of this place. Who doesn't like wearing moustaches and sexy hats on their heads? Makes it so much fun! The food is delicious and the cocktails are to die for. The service is fabulous and everyone is happy and cheerful.

A GOOD Mexican feed. This is currently my favourite dinner option with Fried chicken + Spicy pork ribs + Mixed grill equaling a very satisfied customer. The prices are extremely reasonable and a fresh glass of red wine sangria washes it down beautifully.

Went with a couple of mates and sampled everything. Fajitas were a favorite as you made them yourselves and it came on a hot plate which was cool.

Awesome Mexican Restaurant on the Strand. I recommend if dining as a group, the Fajitas. You make them yourselves and comes out on a hot plate. The chimmichunga (not sure on the spelling) is good and the Mexican beer they have there is nice as well with a bit of salt.
