How could I not include Luke’s Pizza on the Perfect Pizza list? As I’ve mentioned below, you’ll find here a selection of tasty pizzas, all made with local, seasonal produce. I recommend the Little Hippy - a tasty veggie combo with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. All pizzas can be made gluten free and are baked in a traditional wood-fired oven. Prices start at $16.
I know I’ve shared my love for these guys before, but THIS is the place to come for a long Labour Weekend lunch. Super chilled, tasty food, wine and beer. Keep ordering pizzas, salads, and snacks as you need them and soak up the sun in the buzzy outdoor area. Just opposite there’s a grassy park and the beach for kids to play.
Luke's Kitchen has an awesome vibe. Tucked away off the main highway in Kuaotunu Village, it's relaxed atmosphere makes the perfect spot to hang with friends and family in the Coromandel. Proper pizzas made with fresh local produce, baked in a real-deal woodfired pizza oven, heaps of outdoorsy, patio seating and little unique touches make this gallery/cafe/bar a lively venue. Surfers can ask friendly staff for info on the local breaks.
An extremely popular dinner venue that makes great pizzas, totally recommend the seafood/fish pizza which is my particular favourite. The prices are reasonable, what you would expect in the area. A wonderful place to have a great night out in the summer sun with wonderful friendly staff that try their very best to accommodate the popularity of the the open plan dining area. Great work guys I'll see you again soon no doubt with a couple of car loads of friends.
