Maelstrom Hairdressing

Overcharging. When I booked for partial highlights, I was quoted the price $105. I questioned the stylist part way through, to ensure this was all that was being done. Then I was charged $249. She said she'd added treatments - but neither were these identified at the time, nor was I ever advised of added costs. The same thing happened to my daughter at Maelstrom a couple months prior, but her bill was $300. Although my family had been clients at Maelstrom for seven years, this overcharging is wrong - we will not return.

Have been going to Maelstrom for a few years now, great service and excellent hairdressers (the best place for that summer blonde look!) also love redken products! It's a little gem in the middle of Onehunga!

What a great experience getting my hair done here !  I'm always on the outlook for those that offer good service and this place is definitly one of them ! The staff are friendly, chatty, (without being too chatty !) helpful and really know their stuff.  Great location and within walking distance from Dressmart.  Good parking outside and across the road.  Really genuine in wanting to know how I needed my hair done. Offered hot/cold beverage which is always nice too - Thank you for a lovely experience - I really appreciated it !

I have been to maelstrom 3 times now and have always found the  staff efficient and courteous with a relaxed and easy manner. They make you feel very much at home, bring hot or cold drinks and enquire as to your wellbeing. Last night I had Hilton to do my hair and found him a very charming, lovely natured, caring young man who did a great job. I find going to Maelstrom to be a lovely relaxing experience.
