The Mangonui Craft Market is held every Saturday from 10am to 2pm in winter and 9am to 2pm the rest of the year. Located in the community hall opposite the wharf in the picturesque village of Mangonui, you can find a selection of arts, crafts and food items in a series of stalls run by friendly vendors.

Browse through a range of handmade cards, soaps, greenstone pendants, sheepskin slippers and books, or pick up olive oils from the local Hihi Olive Estate. Try some of Dorothy's delicious home baked cakes and purchase fresh in-season produce from the farmer's table.

I love grabbing a coffee and slowly browsing these awesome art and craft markets on a Saturday. Mangonui is a really creative, slightly alternative area so you get lots of beautiful artisan products and crafts. Now that it’s ramping up to Christmas time I recommend checking out their wares for good gifts!

What better way to start the weekend than by taking in sweet Mangonui with a trip to the craft market (Saturday, 10am-2pm) in the community hall. You’ll find fresh produce, authentic NZ greenstone, artisan products, home baking and much more. Before or after, there’s a decent choice of harbourside cafes from which to grab a coffee or brunch.
