Memorial Square is located in the centre of Martinborough and is a focal point for the town. The historic reserve is a grassed and tree area featuring the town's official war memorial. Designed by John Martin in the late 19th century, the streets surrounding the square are laid out in the shape of the Union Jack.

Popular for recreational use, the square also hosts numerous local events and festivals which attract visitors from far and wide.

Check out the Martinborough Fair which is held twice annually on the first Saturdays of February and March and comprises of over 480 stalls.

This is such a beautiful place to stop and have a picnic. It's shaded by beautiful trees and their is plenty of room for the kids to run around. This is also the venue for heaps of free events in Martinborough like the big Martinborough Fair!
