The nosh coming from Marvel’s grill really is marvellous. If you consider yourself a connoisseur of, or simply like to treat yourself to fine slabs of prime New Zealand steer, then check in to Marvel Grill for the evening - from 150 - 600 grams, you’re spoilt for choice in this department. At the moment their freshly shucked oysters (choose from Clevedon, Parengarenga or Kono) are undeniably present and tempting on the menu, as is the ideal-for-sharing seafood platter. Or on the flipside, if you only have time to check in for a brief visit, the burger and sandwich menu is the hearty and easy choice for the hungry. Oh, and they're open for breakfast from 8.30am too!
Great stopping in before the New Team NZ Cat Launching! Beautiful selection of tapas, loved the squid, it was pretty spicey tho!! Fritters were devine, similar to an indian onion budgie style tapa. Really nice with the whipped feta on side. Loved the service, manager obviously has this place sorted, everyone is working hard and endless drink orders going on!. The setting on the wharf is gorgeous, and the indoor gas-flame heaters are pretty impressive too
me and my friend popped past here on the weekend. admittedly it was the only place with seats avalible. we sat outside on a wobbly table. Contradictory to the other raves on here, the service was speedy and friendly. we enjoyed some tapas. We had the lamb which was ok but a little undercooked. my friend enjoyed the beetroot and feta, the smoked salmon was tasty although very sweet. so overall not a bad experience but wont be rushing back. I think its a bit overpriced for whats on offer.
