Lake Matheson Café is a cafe with spectacular views, amazing gourmet pizzas (which change seasonally) and tasty cabinet food. Moving from a cafe during the day into a lovely restaurant in the evening, expect the dinner service to be just as attentive and wonderful as the day time.

A scenic iconic, Lake Matheson is one of my favourite spots. Take in the spectacular views of Aoraki / Mt Cook whilst enjoying the amazing food at Matheson Café. Go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. If you’re settling in for an evening meal try the peppered beef pizza mushroom which features blue cheese, roast pumpkin balsamic onion and peppered beef.

Definitely a favourite with the locals, MCR serves breakfast until 3pm and is a great place to cosy up in or grab your lunch to go. There’s loads of different healthy lunch options from soups and salads to sandwiches and baked goods.
