MECCA Stonehouse

We find this a great location to go for coffee with kids, as the newly replaced Mission Bay playground is only a stone's throw away.  They also provide plenty of outside seating, perfect for rowdy young ones.  Whilst inside is relatively tranquil.  You pay a slight premium for the location, but it is worth it in this case.

This is a really unique place to have brunch. The Stonehouse and canopy shelters you from all the rest of the shops on Mission Bay. The food they serve here is what you'd find in other Mecca restaurants - contemporary cafe food with a bit of Turkish/Middle-eastern influence. I would definitely recommend this place to check out if you're new to Mission Bay. 

We often drive to Mission Bay to walk along the waterfront then finish it off with lunch at Mecca Stonehouse in the cafe. The only restaurant on the beach side of Tamaki Drive. They have excellent breakfast/brunches and lunches ( yes 3 menus) with my fav being the eggs benedict however there is a large choice of options which look equally fantastic such as salt & pepper squid, cajun chicken or the mexican quesadilla. They are not cheap but the meals are huge and very good, and the setting is sublime. I have never been into the mission house restaurant nor had dinner there but plan to soon. The menu looks fantastic and has my personal all time favourite beef with bernaise sauce. Hold me back.
