Mithai is a vegetarian Indian takeaway and confectionary on Sandringham Road. In an area with a few Indian eateries, Mithai stands out for its colourful array of handmade sweets. From warm, melt-in- your-mouth gulab jamuns (deep fried, milk based dessert drowned in a syrup of rose water or saffron) to all sorts of barfis, the shop is full of treats all to easy to takeaway for later.

Alongside their assortment of sweets they offer a small but well done menu consisting of both North and South Indian meals and snacks. But according to locals, the icing on the cake (saffron on the mithai, if you will), has to be their thalis- large steel dishes consisting of a range of curries served with naan and rice beginning at just $7.

Beautifully made Indian sweets. Only issue is parking. #feelgood

Really Tasty north Indian food with amazing quanity of food for a really cheap price.

Famous for its sweet delicacy and range of snacks, this shop in Sandringham is an awesome place to dine in or a quick take away. The mouth watering Daal, Baati Churma is a must to try out, which is a traditional food of Rajasthan (a state in India). Very friendly staff and decent prices too !!!

Good Indian snacks and sweets...would be worth trying it!

Love this place for a great afternoon snack. Nice and clean and good staff.

Excellent place for Indian sweets and snacks. A wide range of other Indian food is also served with very friendly staff.

I like Indian sweet and food and Mitahi is one of my favourite restaurant. they have very special offer last month and I bought all they sweet I like. It was delicious and cheap. It was half price offer and quality was same like before.  I like MIthai Jelabi and Rosgolla. sooooooooooooo yummy. best place for indian sweet.

This is a nice Indian place if you feel like something sweet.  It is nice and fresh... Jilebi tastes really great when it is nice and hot.  probably worth waiting for it to be freshly made... check with the shop people and see when they make it!  Lot of varieties... they make other snacks too which is nice as well :)

We had some sweets from this store once. They are good but did not live upto the standards of Xotic next door. Also they seem to be way too suggary and had a very bad sweet taste at the back of the throat. That was the first and last time we went there. Not to be recommended to others though, prefer Xotic next doors.

Best place for getting your yummy Indian sweets. There is another one like it around the corner, dont go there, nowhere near as good. And if you buy a couple of items they give a bit of a discount on things. Their cashew snack selection is very good and the deep fried spiced chick pea ones are in particular my fav.
