Asian eateries are far and few between out west- but fret no more. Mojung is a great Korean restaurant where westies can enjoy the tastes of Korea without venturing out of their hood.

From bibimap to braised beef ribs, they cook the food the way it should be done - all the flavours swimming in your mouth. Mojung means “mother’s love”, and this is what they deliver. Down to earth, home cooked meals, that don’t cost the earth!

Best Korean food in West Auckland. I love their delicious soups - very authentic. My partner is less adventurous and loves their BBQ dishes. Excellent value.

Mojung Restaurant is all about the little details. From the moment you walk in, you're met with friendly and warm service and complimentary pickles while you begin the difficult task of choosing what tempting dishes to order from the menu. Traditional Korean hot rice tea is served in the winter to warm you up, while in the cooler months chilled cinnamon tea is served. The meals are fantastic value, and of course the banchan (side dishes) are refilled as often as you need. Wherever you may live, Mojung is a great reason to make the trek out to West Auckland.

Great little place, such friendly owner operators, they know we love the heat

Probably one of the best Korean Restaurants in Auckland. When we have guests from out of town this is one of the spots to take em too. #KoreanSoulFood

Great food at a reasonable price, food is always served piping hot and service was excellent.  Water and condiments constantly replenished.

My husband and I keep coming back and back to this place, and bringing all our friends and family with us.  The food is fabulous, the side dishes are changed up every now and then for a nice change and the service is fast and friendly.  We especially love the little extras like hot rice tea in the winter and cold cinnamon tea in the warmer months. Best miso I have ever had, and the prices are really great too!

Although Korean is not my favourite, we keep coming back here because of the service, We've tried all other restaurants on this block of shops and this one is definitly the winner. Dont waste your time trying the other restaurants next door no matter how fancy they look because you wont get the same service like you do at this restaurant, My husband and I love the nibbles that we get beforehand because its authentic and different and its for free! Also I have a five year old daughter and they have a kids corner so we can enjoy the rest of our meal while she plays and the corner is at the front away from other guests and its quite safe too.  You have to try this place to know what Im taking about :)

Fantastic food, old fashioned, courteous service, brilliant value (5.0) Fabulous mains for $12 a head (beef, chicken seafood etc; free pickles and nibbles as you wait. Excellent, old fashioned courteous service. Seats about 30 and will welcome parties. I've eaten there numerous times and never been disappointed. Try it.

I can't speak too highly about this restaurant where I've eaten on numerous occasions and held my birthday party there.  Delicious mains are no more than $12 a head and you get free pickles and nibbles whilst you wait. In addition to the fantastic food, the service is customer based as it used to be, nothing is too much trouble and the owners are happy to oblige with all tastes. For instance, my son in law wanted a sizzling beef platter but not too spicy and the chef gladly made it that way. If you are not familiar with Korean food, ask about the ingredients and tell them what you like (and don't like), they are only too happy to make YOU happy. It's clean and bright and seats about 30+ My favourite restaurant (and people) of all time.:)
