Take a break from shopping and head to Mozaik Cafe Te Awa, located in the heart of The Base. Sit indoors or outdoors as you relax with a piping hot coffee and a meal chosen from the freshly made cabinet food or extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. A large range of desserts and cakes are also on offer with many of these gluten-free.

This place is one of my favourite brunch haunts when I'm in Hamilton. The only problem I have is deciding what to choose. I usually go for the creamy mushrooms on toast, they are always delicious. The staff are friendly and the booth tables are comfy! Highly recommend this place if you are ever at The Base or just driving through the Tron.

    Mozaik can be found up in Auckland too, and Hamilton's version is consistently good as well. I love their eggs benedict with heaps of salmon and spinach and a side of yummy crispy bacon. Call me a fatty but food is meant to be eaten, so it's safe to say I live to eat. This place is always buzzing with people, so on a Sunday get in early is my reccomenndation!

I know they're a franchise but don't let that deter you. The Chicken and Prawn salad with Kumara chips is my pick off the menu, the curry dressing is so good. I've tried so many times to replicate it at home but it's never the same.
