I love NZ Fashion Week because fashion designers from NZ get to showcase their amazing hard work on the runway while working along the talented make up artists and models that we have here in NZ and from over the world. It's really great to see the components all come together to create an amazing week for fashion in NZ
The greatest place to get up close and personal with the clever ingenuity of local fashion, local designers and local retailers, New Zealand Fashion Week takes our designs to the world. The landmark event was launched by Dame Pieter Stewart in 2001 as a vehicle to drive the New Zealand fashion economy and conversation globally and, ever since, it's been a way for our local designers to promote their brands to a local and international audience. I've been lucky enough to sit front row on more than one occasion at New Zealand Fashion Week and I love everything about the shows - from cutting-edge designs to precise tailoring to the theatre of it all. If there's one place to celebrate kiwi fashion and the LOVE LOCAL movement, it's at Auckland's Viaduct Events Centre from August 24 - 30.
Came to fashion week servilles show last night and was really blown away! From the minute you walk in the door you feel the vibe and energy of the people. There was lots to look at before the show, and the designer garage sale was quite good with a variety but none of this compared to the actual show whic was fun and fantastic! Will be going to more next year for sure.
