If you don't live in Te Atatu Peninsula, and love reading, it's worth coming to the Peninsula just for a browse at Off the Shelf books.  It's a really quaint shop with a good selection of second hand books.  You never know what you may find.  They also buy books for cash or give you a credit to buy more books.  We've found them to be more generous than other second hand book buyers.  The owner is really involved in the local community and makes it a great place to live.

    With a big selection of books and a laid back , friendly atmosphere I would recommend anyone with a love of reading take a trip to Off the Shelf books. The staff are friendly and you are certainly likely to find lots of books to tempt you. it really is A lovely place to get lost in! And a great place for a browse!

      Off the Shelf Books has a wide selection of books suitable for all ages and many interests. Friendly staff too. And they buy your unwanted books.
