It's definitely a huge achievement to be consistently awesome for 40 years, but Ollie's has done it and what I love best about this place is the ice cream. Known as the cheapest in Auckland, Ollie's has huge serves of ice cream at great prices and the sundaes are the retro kind you remember from your childhood. It's always worth a trip out to Royal Oak to visit Ollies.
I need not say much about Ollie’s. It opened on Valentines Day in 1973 and the same local legend is still running the show. If you think you’ve tried a top notch milkshake, wait ‘til you’ve had one from the people that’ve been doing it for more than 40 years! Their chips are also classic as Kiwi fare - they even come in the old skool carton. Great job, Ollies!
