Oneroa Bay is located on the north side of Waiheke island. Close to the ferry terminal and just a short walk from the cafes, restaurants and craft shops of Oneroa village, the scenic bay is a favourite with the many tourists who visit the island.

With 2 beautiful white sandy beaches in Oneroa and Little Oneroa, it's a great spot to enjoy swimming, relaxing or romantic strolls.

Head there in the late afternoon when the shadows from the pohutakawa trees provide perfect photo opportunities.

There are various accommodation options nearby, or take the short ferry ride to central Auckland.

There's nothing more inviting than a trip to Auckland's tropical paradise of Waiheke Island when the sun is glistening over the Hauraki Gulf. Jump the ferry and in just over 30 minutes, you can be swimming (or even wallowing) in the calm, crystal clear water of Oneroa Bay. One of Waiheke Island's Top Three most beautiful beaches, it's a quintessentially picturesque New Zealand bay, known for it's golden sand and safe, family friendly waters. Soak, relax and unwind - this is what summer is made of!

    Waiheke has many fabulous beaches, I think Oneroa would have to be in the top 3 with the access to all the boutiques and cafes just a stones throw from the sand, it really does have it all 

      Nothing like a glass of Waiheke Rosé or Pinot Gris to wet the palate on a hot Summer’s day.

        Nothing better than having all five of your senses assaulted with sizzling barbecues down at the beach, tucking into fresh salads, sipping on Island sauvignon blanc, spend hours languishing in aqua water, playing cricket with the kids on the beach. Oh, Summer, hurry along, will ya?

          This beach is really close to the main shopping area on Waiheke.  You could also walk here from the ferry terminal if you were feeling energetic.  It has the usual white sand we love and expect on this side of Waiheke and is pretty kid-friendly.  Being close to the shops, it's also really handy if you want to grab a snack during your beach day or finish up with a coffee or ice cream.

            This is a beautiful beach, and close to the ferry terminal. Perfect for those who hire bikes and realise they dont have the energy to cycle as far as Onetangi beach.
