The Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary is a part of the Animal Protection Society and is located in Otaki. The sanctuary operates based on animal rights principles.

Opportunity for Animals combines two of my favourite things-op shopping, and being kind to our fellow earthlings. Because it's not as central as some of the other local op-shops, the selection is generally better. All proceeds go to the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary, which is an amazing sanctuary up the coast that takes in abused animals, definitely a cause worth supporting!

    Slightly of the beaten path, this Opportunity for Animals shop has lots of great items for sale. With less foot traffic meaning that not every thrift savvy uni student has come in and taken a wander and picked off all the great finds. Definitely worth a journey up to if you’re on the lookout for some new items to bring in the change of season.
