This is hands down one of the best natural geothermal spots I have visited in New Zealand. It's located between Taupo and Rotorua on the banks of the Waikato River (Lake Ohakuri) and is an out of the world experience. Walk past geysers, mud pools and picturesque silica terraces. It's a nature lovers dream day trip and the photos you take back as memories will stun others who haven't been. Definitely a must-see.
